Warren Waters, Robert P. Bass, Jr.,

 and James C. Cleveland

In 1959, James C. Cleveland and Robert P. Bass, Jr. merged their law practices and established the law firm now known as Cleveland, Waters and Bass, P.A. in Concord, New Hampshire. In 1960 Warren Waters left the chairmanship of the Public Utilities Commission to join the firm. Jim Cleveland took a temporary leave of absence for a distinguished career in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1963 to 1981. He rejoined the firm following his public service in Congress and maintained the firm’s office in New London, NH, until his death in December, 1995. Rob Bass remains well known throughout the state for his career in estate planning and trust and probate administration as well as for his public service on the Republican National Committee and a host of nonprofit boards of directors including the Currier Gallery of Art and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Warren Waters retired in 1982 and lived in Florida until his death in January, 2001.

Today, Cleveland, Waters and Bass, P.A. is a full service business law firm with 18 attorneys located in the downtown heart of the state capital of Concord, New Hampshire. The firm’s practice includes business law, real estate, taxation, employee benefits, trusts and estates, and litigation.
